Privacy policy
This policy matches the scripts on the site as of 2026-10-18, the day the Adsterra ad units were added. Adsterra (two units), Google Analytics 4 (G-TN5XTWMSN8) and Microsoft Clarity (yz9fuditzk) are all behind the same Accept click, and none of them is in the page before it. The contact address for privacy requests is contact@tenebrissomnia.net.

| Accounts | None. We do not take a name, a payment, or a newsletter. |
|---|---|
| Storage | Two localStorage keys of our own: ts_consent (your choice plus a timestamp, kept 180 days) and ts_ads_closed (only written if you close the floating Social Bar). |
| Scripts | Three third parties, one gate. Google Analytics 4 via https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=G-TN5XTWMSN8 loads on arrival but starts with every Consent Mode v2 signal denied. Microsoft Clarity (https://www.clarity.ms/tag/yz9fuditzk) and both Adsterra units (https://bicea.org) are created by our own scripts only after you press Accept. |
| Advertising | Adsterra, website 6130685, category Social, adult ads switched OFF: Native Banner unit 31787057 inside the page and Social Bar unit 31787058 fixed to the bottom of the viewport. No other network and no AdSense unit is installed. |
What the route feels like
I wrote this after reading the actual page source, not from a template that lists tools we do not use. If a video thumbnail or a tag is added later, this page has to change in the same edit. The footer link labeled Cookie settings reopens the choice so you can switch Accept and Reject without hunting for a hidden panel.
What loads, and when
Fonts (Source Serif 4 and Press Start 2P) are files on this server. They are not requested from Google Fonts. Screenshots and the logo are files on this server.
Advertising. Two formats from Adsterra run here: a Native Banner placed under the article, and a Social Bar that floats at the bottom of the viewport. Neither is requested until you press Accept: before that the page carries the Adsterra URLs only as text, with no script element pointing at them, and no ad frame exists. Adsterra serves the invoker scripts and the ad frames from bicea.org and serves creatives from the network's own ad-serving domains, which we neither enumerate nor control. Adult ads are switched off on this website in the Adsterra dashboard, so the inventory sold here is not adult traffic.
YouTube. A video image is part of the page. The player iframe, from https://www.youtube-nocookie.com, is created only after you press Play. That request can set cookies owned by YouTube and Google. We use the nocookie host to avoid the wider youtube.com cookie, and we still cannot promise YouTube sets none. Purpose: showing the trailer or the guide video you asked for. Legal basis: the click is the request. Retention: Google's own policy, which we do not control. YouTube's terms are at https://www.youtube.com/t/terms and Google's privacy policy is at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Analytics. Google Analytics 4, measurement ID G-TN5XTWMSN8, loaded from https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js. It records page views: the path you opened, the referrer, a rough location derived from IP, device and browser type, and a random client ID kept in a cookie. We do not send names, emails, or form contents. GA4 does not log your IP address. Google sets the _ga cookies on our domain and processes the hit on its own servers. Purpose: knowing which guides are read. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), which is why the tag starts with analytics_storage denied. Retention: event data 2 months and user data 14 months on this property, which is Google's shortest setting for event data; the _ga cookie lasts 2 years. Google's policy is at https://policies.google.com/privacy and the opt-out add-on is at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout .
Replay. Microsoft Clarity, project yz9fuditzk, is created from https://www.clarity.ms/tag/yz9fuditzk only after you press Accept, so a visitor who rejects or sends GPC never receives that request. It records how pages are used: clicks, scrolling, and a session recording of the rendered page, along with device and browser type and a rough location derived from the IP. Clarity masks form inputs and other sensitive text by default, and we did not turn that off. Purpose: seeing where a guide confuses people so the page can be rewritten. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)). Retention: recordings and heat maps 30 days, aggregated dashboard data up to 13 months. Microsoft's privacy statement is at https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement .
| Party | When it loads | Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Adsterra (bicea.org, adsterra.com) | Only after you press Accept | Show Native Banner unit 31787057 and Social Bar unit 31787058 | Consent |
| Google Analytics 4 (googletagmanager.com, google-analytics.com) | Tag loads on arrival; all four consent signals denied until Accept | Page-view statistics | Consent, with storage denied by default |
| Microsoft Clarity (clarity.ms) | Only after you press Accept | Session replay and heat maps | Consent |
| YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com) | Only after you press Play | Show the trailer or guide video you asked for | Consent, via that click |
Cookies, localStorage, and how to turn ads off
This site writes two keys of its own. ts_consent holds your choice as JSON: choice (accepted or rejected) plus ts, the moment you clicked, and it is deleted once it is 180 days old. ts_ads_closed is written only if you close the floating Social Bar; it holds 1 and keeps that bar closed on your later visits until you press Accept again or clear it with Cookie settings. Both keys are readable only on this domain.
Google Analytics 4 sets its own cookies once you Accept: _ga and this property's _ga container cookie. Google controls those names and their retention through its own policy; neither cookie exists before Accept. Microsoft Clarity sets its own cookies after Accept; the names observed on this site are _clck and _clsk, and Microsoft controls their retention.
Adsterra sets advertising and measurement cookies and identifiers from its own domains, not from this domain, so this site can neither read nor list them, and their retention is set by Adsterra rather than by us. Reject, and the Social Bar's own close control, are the two levers this site gives you over them. Adsterra's privacy policy is at https://adsterra.com/privacy-policy/ .
Purpose and legal basis for the ad scripts are the same as the other two: showing the advertising that pays for the guides, on the basis of your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), collected by that Accept click and withdrawable at any time. No ads are served on the basis of legitimate interest, and there is no personalised-advertising profile built by this site.
ads.txt on this domain declares exactly one seller: adsterra.com, 3403020, DIRECT. That publisher id is the value the Adsterra publisher dashboard reports for this account; Adsterra does not publish ads.txt files of its own, so the line is written from the dashboard value rather than supplied by the vendor. No other company is authorised to sell this inventory, and no second advertising network runs on these pages.
Opting out of personalised advertising elsewhere does not change this site by itself, because ads here need your Accept first. If you want those controls anyway: https://adssettings.google.com/ , https://www.youronlinechoices.com/ , and https://optout.networkadvertising.org/ .
Consent, GPC, and your rights
On a first visit the banner asks you to Accept or Reject. The choice is the ts_consent value. Reject stores the refusal, keeps analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization denied, removes the Adsterra scripts this page already injected, tells an already-running Clarity tag to drop to no-consent mode through clarity("consentv2", {ad_Storage:"denied", analytics_Storage:"denied"}), and creates neither on later visits. Accept stores the acceptance, calls gtag("consent","update") to grant those four signals, and creates the Clarity tag and both Adsterra scripts. If navigator.globalPrivacyControl is true, the script stores Reject and does not treat a later Accept click as permission.
The inline stub calls gtag("consent","default") with ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, and analytics_storage set to denied, and it sets ads_data_redaction and url_passthrough. It runs before the gtag.js request, so the tag cannot report anything before a default exists, and it runs before any Adsterra script, because those do not exist yet. On a later page load with Accept already stored, the same stub upgrades the four signals to granted before the tag loads.
Legal basis for the preference itself is consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)) and, for remembering a refusal, the legitimate interest in not asking on every page (art. 6(1)(f)). You can withdraw it with Cookie settings in the footer, or by clearing localStorage for this origin. The choice is read on every page load, so a switch back to Reject stops the Clarity and Adsterra requests on the next page you open; the Adsterra tags and frames already on the current page are removed when you press Reject, and an already-running Clarity tag is switched to no-consent mode, with the tag itself gone on the next load.
If you are in the EEA, UK, or a similar regime, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of the email you sent us, and you can complain to your supervisory authority. We hold those emails in the mailbox that receives contact@tenebrissomnia.net. We do not sell personal information. We do not hand any data of our own to the ad network: the ad request is made by your browser directly to Adsterra. Do Not Track is treated the same way as a rejection when the browser exposes Global Privacy Control. A bare DNT header is not visible to this static site; GPC is the signal the page can read.
Changes to this policy are posted on this URL with a new "Last checked" date. The previous text is replaced. Material changes, such as a new ad unit or a new provider, are made in the same edit that adds the script.
Questions people ask
Do you use cookies?
The site stores ts_consent in localStorage for 180 days, and ts_ads_closed only if you close the floating Social Bar. After you press Accept, Google Analytics sets its _ga cookies on this domain, Microsoft Clarity sets _clck and _clsk, and Adsterra sets its own advertising cookies from its own domains. YouTube may set cookies only after you press Play.
Are there ads on this site?
Yes, from Adsterra, and only after you press Accept: Native Banner unit 31787057 in the page and Social Bar unit 31787058 at the bottom of the viewport, on Adsterra website 6130685 with adult ads switched off. Before Accept the page contains no ad script and no ad frame.
Which ad units run on this site?
Adsterra website 6130685, category Social, adult ads OFF: Native Banner 31787057 and Social Bar 31787058. No other network and no AdSense unit is installed.
How do I change my choice?
Use Cookie settings in the footer. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, the site keeps the choice on Reject.
