Tenebris Somnia story and characters
Julia dreams that monsters kill her ex, Iván. His apartment is empty, a sulfur mark is cut into the door, and opening it drops her into Desiderium, a world made of his memories. The cult is called Relicta. They wanted his flesh, not a clean breakup.

What the route feels like
The story I can retell without the ending videos is the setup, and I keep it that short on purpose. I have read the Wikipedia plot, the TV Tropes page, and Fangoria’s interview. I have not sat through every filmed ending and written down who lives. Vitra’s name is on a boss chapter and on the cast list, and those two facts do not yet add up to a character biography. Where the sources stop, this page stops.
What the rooms are doing
Relicta members are marked with a cut on the left side of the face. Julia and Iván are both independent filmmakers. Devora, his student film, is a black-and-white short with no dialogue, and the game hides it in three canisters you have to screen. The apartment is his home, redrawn as a horror version of itself. Caput Mortuum is the nightclub. Septimo Arte is the late-game theater. Candles and wax are the lock-and-key system: wax seals a door, a candle opens one, and red wax figures restage the couple’s life.
The logo’s O is a sulfuric-acid symbol and the A is a sulfur symbol, per TV Tropes. Cutscenes have no spoken dialogue. Borghi told 80.lv that was so the films could ship in every language without a dub. The gameplay conversations carry the plot.
What the endings do to the story
The mechanical split is confirmed: spare the Relicta ghosts and face Lacuna, or kill at least one and face Hermes. What each filmed ending actually says about Julia and Iván is not written up in a source I trust yet. Endings 3 and 4 are named and unconfirmed. A video path for ending 3 includes a boss called Amy, which is also the name of the FAITH chapter 1 boss. That is a crossover hint, not a plot summary.
